I'm expecting the delivery of a beautiful, bouncing, roadkill squirrel. I saw the first sample of Smudge the Squirrel yesterday. A new squash-plush teddy! He's following closely in the blood-soaked footprints of Splodge the Hedgehog. Smudge  is a red squirrel, although  it is quite hard to be totally sure of that in his currently mangled state.

We've sent Smudge back for a few alterations, (a pancreas here, a blood-clot there) before we consider him worthy enough to join the pantheon of roadkill characters. But watch this space. Smudge should be popping his clogs soon!
