Hello. We’re the toy designers behind roadkill. We’re not your usual humdrum toy designers though. We’re Toy Terrorists. We squash and burn and bludgeon and maim. But we’re also toy fanatics like you. We love toys. We just don’t like tat. This is why we felt the need to come up with Squash-Plush. A range of toys that don’t take themselves too seriously.

You’ve met the product. Now meet the team behind it. There’s three of us. The designer. The number cruncher. And the production manager. We’ve all been nurturing the Squash-plush idea for the last couple of years. You may think that we’re sickos. But we’re actually quite nice.

Just like the product, our idea was a bit of an accident. An absent-minded doodle to stave off crushing boredom. But it soon started to take on a life of its own. The first Squash-plush prototype was knitted by an old granny in Derbyshire. It was a bit too sick at first. And since then we’ve been trying to make it more cartoony. Adding spleens here, and tyre marks there, blood shot eyes here and protruding tongues there.

We take your safety very seriously. This is why we carry out loads of tests on our toys. We burn them, tear them, pluck them, behead them, gut them, shred them, tickle them, and stamp on them. This is called the BS EN 71 test. And it’s one of the many tests we do to ensure our stuff is safe. After all we don’t want you ending up looking like one of our products.

The creator, Adam Arber, has been illustrating and designing characters since before he was potty-trained. He’s taken a degree course in Illustration, a course in 2D animation, one in storyboarding and one in cartooning. And generally speaking most of his past work has been as sick and depraved as Roadkill.
